Hello We live in Dearborn cnty, In. We have a very large collection all off our property. We have tools, gorgets, effigies of bears, eagles,otters, tucans, perrots, turtles, and elephants. We have only been collecting for a couple months. We must have a cache, virtually all off the surface. We have found zero chirt or pottery. The pictures of your artifacts look very similar to ours.Please call us and talk about these artifacts that are now starting to be recognized by more main stream archeologist. 513-767=0393 Mike and Beth.
Bird stones are something to take a look at. Quite mysterious as for the number of them compared to other effigies. I love in Indiana and the Tippecanoe River and surrounding creeks are my hunting doing ground. I have found an amazing amount of animal effigies. But Bird stones are literally everywhere- big/small.. I wasn't sure what I was looking at 3 years ago when I started hunting, but after alot of research and this on how u can view the rocks in angles and light I realized that I was seeing animals and faces. Many in one. It's amazing. People are not open to it, they reject the idea so much that they won't even try and see.. this is definitely my passion.
