Your excitement jumps off the page. I can feel it because I have the same awe of all my findings through the years as if it is the first one. I am totally blown away by all of it. The tools, the art, the effigys etc. I just wish I could read it for what they meant it to be. It doesnt matter really but I would like to know. I try to compare them to the many charts I have found and it is almost impossible. I like you cannot find many to take me serious and I can't even get any one from the archealogical museum 4 miles away to check some of my stones out. But I have had some checked by some on line rock museums and am told like you were that they are a lot older than I dreamed. I felt bonafied and relieved. Every where I go I find artifacts, tools, rock art etc. I tell everyone I am an ancient native american rock magnet, I look down and bam...there is always one near me. I realize now that after finding so many they just really stick out. If you think about it, I feel, that if you look at how many people throughout these millions of years that lived and traveled our earth and think well they had to use something to hunt with, cook, clean, harvest, cut up, chop etc. they had to do with what was there. Rocks~~ These same ancient civilizations had to be where there was food, water, vegetation etc. As seasons change they would have to move there whole villages, tribes, groups what ever to constantly have these items available. They made their tools out of stones which were too heavy to carry from place place so they were abandoned and made more once they got to the next place. Through the civilization we know just look at the tools, the letters, the art work, carvings etc we have planted down on this earth in just over a few hundred years in the U.S. alone. Not to mention our dishes, tools, toys, recreational things, bbq's ... well you know what I mean. And the things we are finding are from tens of thousands of years ago and more. But this land has been inhabited for millions of years. We are just finding the tip of the iceberg. We haven't had the big archaelogical digs like they have around the world. People don't what to admit or discuss some things because it is not what we have been told or taught to believe. I am rambling too long but I am just so stoked to see so many of you that feel just like I do and see the things I see. Whether it be Ohio, Colorado, Tennessee, Kentucky or here in California where I live. I started collecting rocks when I was a little girl on a ranch in Arizona. I am 71 now and it is even more exciting because of the knowledge and experiences that come with those years. But it is amazing that when I look at all of yours and others rocks it looks like you came in and took pictures of my collections. My husband or kids cannot see what I see but can understand the obvious such as tools and arrowheads. I have rocks everywhere on our property and I would not give them up for nothing. I would love to share some of pix with you. I will read more of your blog to see if I can. So glad to find this. Happy hunting. Thank you for this site. It means a lot to me already.
I also have so maomny of these ancient artifacts. The art is called The invisible art but I can see it and I can read the stories it's amazing I absolutely feel it is my first one as well every time I find one and I can see the story I have one it looks like an alien he looks like a gray and he's real tall and he's looking in the cave at the cave people and they're terrified and way back in the back of the cave but then if you look up you can see in the sky and there is a meteor shower and a spaceship the story is they visited back then apparently because this thing was tall and look just like a gray with a spindly arms big eyes no ears and he's looking in the cave and it's at the very top of the mountain so he must be really tall but the story it tells is beautiful our ancestors were so talented at displaying their art on these rocks and I'm so lucky that I can see it because most people say it's just a rock but it is not just a rock and if you put it in a certain light you can never unsee it it's there I love your pieces I love the woman that sounds just like me so excited about what she sees and what she can see and feels so lucky to be able to see it. Ifeel like it's God giving me this ability and putting all this in my lap I've only collected for a year and it's running me out of my room I have so much art on so many rocks and so much of it is ancient tools effigies I have also a lot of I used to call them my romantic rocks but they're actually called bifacial rocks I have a lot of those they're amazing this site where I get my artifacts has dinosaur bone fragments that I have found and a meteorite it's crazy what all I have and I love every bit of it have a great day thanks for listening my name is Priscilla Nix by the way I have some of my art on Pinterest but I have tons more you can find it atpriscillageorge069@gmail.com
We've bn here alredy. Due 2 the 1000's of EXACTLY the same rocks here on Gold Coast, OZ-these r just rocks. U buy by weight 4 gardens etc+ALL these types r there in their 100's...
I've found hundreds of stone and Flint pieces with incredibly detailed artwork pecked/incised/scribed into them here in western KY. I have a large collection of artifacts from points blades drills axes pestle discoidals etc etc but value some of my rocks more than them. Ancient man had skills that aren't discussed or even admitted to by collectors and historians wich is a shame. Most people I show a rock to that is completely covered with faces and other artwork(obvious to me)say they see nothing, ive been called crazy but I know better. I hope one day very soon ancient rock art will be recognized for what it is..... Been picking them up from sites along the Ohio river and elsewhere since the 70s some small some large but all are amazing! I call them glyphs as the closest thing to them that are recognized by "experts" are petroglyphs. Keep your eyes open for any unusualy shaped rocks while walking the fields and take them home, give them a good wash and if you have a good one let it dry then clean it up with a toothbrush. As you slowly turn the stone while brushing the remaining dirt away you will be amazed at what you see. Hand a doubter a good cleaned rock and a toothbrush then enjoy the look on their face when they see the artwork! My brother said I was nuts until I handed him a fresh washed rock and a toothbrush! Forces them to look closely at a small section at a time... I can talk about it for days but my brother called and wants to go walk a field....
It's called The invisible art but I can see it as well I do use the same technique wash them and breast them with the toothbrush and it becomes more pronounced but it's there it tells the story it's beautiful we have ancestors that were very talented at what they do and a lot of mine tell a story one tells the story of a woman giving birth she's in a cave she's laying on a slab and he has his hands underneath ready to catch the baby
I have a huge collection that will blow your mind I have been collecting rocks stones and artifacts for about 10 yrs. I have been studying and trying to learn all there is to know. I would like to find out if I have legit artifacts and if any of my findings are of any value my collection is growing everyday and my family and friends think I'm crazy. I would like to 9rove them all wrong. Can do rone point me in the right direction.
I have been collecting myself for years and have some amazing pieces and I found out just recently that I need to take them to your local geoligest or museum of geoligy.
You're not crazy. My family and friends also think I'm crazy but once I clean these rocks and if you put them in a certain light even though it's called The invisible art you wash them brush with the toothbrush it's there and once you see it you can't unsee it. I wish everyone could see them it's real and it's beautiful and it's our ancestors. priscillageorge029@gmail.com
Wow that's amazing that people paying more attention to nature instead of the media. Best way to look at the portable ancient rocks when it's almost dark. Most of the spirits comes alive. That's why ancient people painted their faces to look just like the spirits. Mostly the crystal rocks you can see people spirits faces in them. I live on an old ancient land in Mashpee,MA when I had a inground pool installed so many portable rocks came to the surface. Found a thunder Bird sculpture "the head only" trying to find the body found so many other stones and start studying Rock and it's been an Amazing journey since. 8 years Ago.
I too have a love for the art of how the rock was used by ancient tribes, weather it be for a weapon, an artistic expression of nature , a food or survival tool, faces of people, or something shared as art at a tribal trading party etc the list is endless because art is an expression of the way the individual art sees it. I love finding rock art and looking at this past expression of beauty that’s brought to life today. I live in Southern California.I walk the beach pretty much every day to see what beautiful new discoveries are waiting for me. I love how the rocks tell a story and I realise that the Lord made the rocks and that the Lord is the rock of my salvation. What better hobby could their be? May your finds bring you joy.
I too, same rocks , same stories, as the rest of you, Iam tired of people thinking Iam crazy or on drugs, or methamphetamines , so I only share my finding with people who seem interested or ask me about them , I too can see and read the stories on them , somebody needs to figure out why we are all like this, get proof , and start telling the world . I would like to know why Iam like this , and Iam really sick of people judging me. I have stopped wasting my time trying to explain or convince people who don’t believe me . If someone shows an interest I will share what I know. If they roll their eyeballs , laugh at me , or start whispering behind my back, I just gather up my rocks , and go back in my house. The nature of our history is not for closed minded, stuffy, people who can’t step outside the box . And I find it amusing that some of my best pieces , or examples are the ones that have come up missing after the non believers have been here to look at them! They laugh and giggle , point their fingers, than walk off with my rocks hidden in their pockets !!! I think the English language has a name for these people besides asshole my grandma would call them hypocrites !!! So all you hypocrites put that in your pipe and smoke it in these rocks are more than just Rocks and none of us are crazy !!!!
In Tennessee and am sitting on hundreds maybe Thousands. My yard is covered and 20yrs of living here I just now notice they are not just rocks. I can relate to every comment and no we are not crazy. Why are people wanting this to be hidden so therefore they do not recognize what we are saying? Why hide this...what is it jeopardizing? We need to find out that answer!
Nice artifacts. I have some you may be interested in.
